Mission organizations are no different, as they are designed to make disciples and plant churches and are not structured or organized to effectively develop and utilize technology tools in impactful ways.

At Kolo, we know that discipleship happens through relationships and we believe that digital tools can empower, enhance, and extend relationships. Kolo’s mission is to come alongside ministries and guide them to solutions tailored uniquely to their ministries and needs.

 The founders of Kolo Group have been working together since 2000 doing evangelism and discipleship training in African villages while building technology portals and mobile apps for the global church. In 2013, they launched Kolo Group which integrated business and technology with global missions so that a variety of different mission groups could be impacted with their tools.  In 2012 and 2013 the Kolo App was designed and used throughout Africa and Asia to provide the Jesus Film, the Bible, and many other resources to hundreds of people in their own heart language.

Over the next five years, Kolo Group continued technology projects in support of missions. In 2018, Kolo Group merged with the secure technology services that Mission Aviation Fellowship had developed to provide believers in restricted access countries with secure VPN and email services.

The Kolo Group team is comprised of engineers, coders, IT specialists and managers that are contracted out to the different projects so that each mission organization can get the exact skills and resources needed to complete their project in a timely fashion. The leaders all have extensive overseas and missions knowledge as well as business skills. This combination provides the expertise needed to merge rapidly growing technology with an overseas missions setting.

We are always wanting to expand our network of those with technology expertise and a deep passion for using their gifts so that the least reached will hear and know Christ.
